{"id":3603,"date":"2024-02-09T12:22:14","date_gmt":"2024-02-09T11:22:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/stellawelding.cthosting.it\/leghe\/silver-brazing-alloys-cadmium-free\/"},"modified":"2024-10-15T10:14:29","modified_gmt":"2024-10-15T08:14:29","slug":"silver-brazing-alloys-cadmium-free","status":"publish","type":"leghe","link":"https:\/\/stellawelding.cthosting.it\/en\/leghe\/silver-brazing-alloys-cadmium-free\/","title":{"rendered":"Silver brazing alloys cadmium free"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following are general purpose <strong>brazing alloys<\/strong>, suitable to join easily a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous base materials (iron, steel, stainless steel, copper, brass, etc.).<br\/><strong>Continuous service operating temperatures <\/strong>of joints brazed with these alloys range up to approx 200 \u00b0C. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All these alloys do not contain Cadmium, do not present the Health Safety concerns associated with Cadmium-bearing alloys and are <strong>RoHS<\/strong> <strong>compliant<\/strong>. Available in many different presentation forms (rods, flux-coated rods, wires, strips, rings, preforms, pastes and powders), these alloys are very free flowing, ductile and strong.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When <strong>joining stainless steel in wet environments<\/strong>, in order to avoid failure of the joint due to interfacial corrosion, it is recommended to use <strong>zinc-free alloys (Ag60Sn\/1), or alloys with Nickel additions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are divided in two categories: alloys with Tin and alloys without Tin; Tin being used to lower the melting temperature of the alloy.<br\/>When brazing in an <strong>oxidizing<\/strong> environment (that is: in air), the use of a proper flux is required.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":1601,"template":"","class_list":["post-3603","leghe","type-leghe","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/stellawelding.cthosting.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/leghe\/3603","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/stellawelding.cthosting.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/leghe"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/stellawelding.cthosting.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/leghe"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/stellawelding.cthosting.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/1601"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/stellawelding.cthosting.it\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3603"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
